I have a windows 10 laptop. That came with a hard drive, so i replace that with a ssd. But after that device encryption is not showing anymore. I know windows 10 Home doesn't have bitlocker encryption but still home edition have default drive encryption. So is it something to do with tpm chip or anything else?

Use these commands in Elevated Command Prompt (Run CDM as Admin)

    • Check device encryption status: manage-bde -status
    • Turn On device encryption: manage-bde -on C: (Restart required)
    • Turn Off device encryption: manage-bde -off C: (Turning Off take some time, check progress by Check status command)

Remember to protect the key because without it there is no way for you to get your files back.

I hope it helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.
