Hello,

I am having problems with the audio on my computer. I ran the troubleshooter to see what was wrong, and it turns out, the audio service (which is running) is not responding. Is there any way I can fix this? I have provided a screenshot of the troubleshooter as well as a text file containing my system's specifications and details.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Hi Andrew my name is Ferdinand, I am an Independent Advisor.

There is an issue with the Audio driver on your machine that is why you are getting that error on the troubleshooter. Please follow the steps below to help get this fixed.

You will need to completely remove the Audio driver off your PC, once you reboot it should auto re-install it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Windows key+ X on Windows 10.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound, Video and Game Controllers Right-click the problematic device it is either Realtek Audio, or AMD High definition Audio or High Definition Audio this varies on the audio device installed in your PC and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.

After the reboot please see it the problem is fixed.

If that still would not work please visit the support website of your laptop or desktop and then download and install the latest Audio driver then restart the PC.

I just checked Task Manager, all services relating to sound on startup are enabled.

Go to task manager and look for any audio services that was not enable on startup --- and enable it.
