Good day WillMcLin1! I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to Minecraft Java. If you are dealing with the new launcher, kindly check and try the below and see how it goes.
- Open the Microsoft Store
- Click on the profile icon
- Click on your account and then click on Sign out
- Press Windows key + R and from the run box type in there wsreset.exe and wait for the process to be completed
- Go back to the Microsoft Store
- Click again the profile icon and login or click Add personal account and login using the account that you used when you purchased Minecraft Java Edition
- Search for the Minecraft Launcher and try to download/install it again or launch and try it again
> If the above will not work, for the time being you can use the ones for Windows 7/8 or the ones advised by one from the ticket for the time being (as this causes the new launcher to prompt that you are only on demo or that you do not own the game) on the link below and I will also link the ongoing issue (even if the ticket says it is resolved you can still comment on it as there are others who are still experiencing the same issue) as well for tracking and reference and rest assured that this is being checked and worked on by the team to ensure that once you will be able to use the new launcher once the issue has been sorted out.
