explorer.exe error when run

Question

Hello,

when opening file explorer from the taskbar I get this error

and when launching explorer.exe in C:/Windows/explorer.exe I get this error

I have no idea what this means.

I ran "sfc /scannow" in command prompt admin as well as DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

as I saw they were recommended in the link below https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/file-explorer-not-opening-via-pinned-taskbar-icon/c8c46ccf-9729-4ef6-9487-c11baee7db13

but even these did not help and the problem still persists.

If it is of note, "sfc /scannow" said it found and restored corrupted files, but it did not do anything noticeable.

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you. Let us work together to sort this out.

You can perform Repair Upgrade, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files.

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.

Click “Download Tool Now”

Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.

Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".

Step 4: Select "Keep personal files and apps".

Step 5: Let it install

Once done restart your computer and check the Windows Explorer.

I am already using Windows 10 Home version 21H2, will this still work?
