Stuck at reset windows process

I tried to perform resetting on my windows 10 (Surface Pro), but it pretty much got stuck.
This error showed up, and after pressing "OK" windows attempt to restart but this error shows up again. So I'm stuck in this loop.

Anyone knows what can be done?

My surface pro battery is broken so it is constantly connected to power. Could this be one of the reason why?

Hello Lynnng2, too bad you are having this error. I will try to help you, follow the steps below.

  • At the error screen, hold down SHIFT + F10 keys. If Command Prompt doesn't come up, hold down FN + SHIFT + F10 Keys
  • At the command prompt, type: ''regedit'' without the quotes, then press ENTER key.
  • When opening the registry editor, open the following folders: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > Setup > Status > ChildCompletion
  • Inside the ChildCompletion folder, double-click on setup.exe and then place the number 3 in ''Value data''
  • Click ''OK'' and click ok on the error message.

Your computer will restart and the error will likely be resolved.
