Hi Ronald, try restoring the default file association for jpg files

Download the following registry file from TenForums:

    https://www.tenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/56508d1451673279-default-file-type-associations-restore-windows-10-a-jpg.reg

Note: if you are downloading the file with Edge, Smartscreen will initially block it. Just click on Keep as it is completely safe.

Double click on jpeg.reg and allow it to merge with the registry, then sign out and back in for the change to take effect.

Then when you try to launch a jpg file, you may need to set your default program to open jpg files. There after things should be OK.
