Everyone,
I currently have a Windows 11 Pro machine in which Hyper-V is being used to create a Windows 10 Home virtual machine. While the creation of the virtual machine was successful, I am having issues in two key areas:
A: I cannot ping from the virtual machine to a device connected on the ethernet port.
B: I cannot use the internet connection (wireless) on my virtual machine. When I attempt to set up an external virtual switch and select my Wifi device, I get the following error: "Failed while adding virtual Ethernet switch connections. failed: Cannot create a file when that file already exists. (0x800700B7). When this happens, the internet on my host machine is disconnected; and, I must reboot my computer in order for the internet to return.
(Please note: I can ping from the host machine and use internet on the host machine)
To fix this issue, I have done the following:
1: Updated the installation of Windows to fix any file errors or software problems that may occur from having a distorted version of the operating system.
2: Made sure all relevant drivers are up to date which they are (Wifi connection device driver, etc)
What other ideas would you suggest I try?
