hi Sadiqh,
Thanks for getting back to me. I've logged back in today and a daily cost is now showing for all the days where it was missing previously!
Boooo, knew it was too good to be true!
Best Regards, Steve

Hi there,
Pretty new to Azure and have been using the free trial to find my way around.
Initially I created a few VMs (Windows Servers) with Premium SSD Managed disks and even though I wasn't using them much, the costs were a few GB pounds a day. Seeing as I want to keep some VMs there to 'dip in' to and keep the knowledge fresh moving forward, I wanted to see if I could reduce costs as much as possible.
Therefore, I swapped the disks to Standard HDD and yes, the daily cost for the storage reduced a fair bit.
I've just checked today, around a week after I last used the machines and the daily storage cost has gone down to zero!
No, I'm not complaining but I didn't think this is how it worked, i.e. if you have VMs created and they are using storage then that costs per day / month, etc.
Just trying to figure out what the cost profile might be moving forward when I upgrade my subscription, post free trial.
Thanks, Steve
