Well, I have that same Microsoft 365 button under Settings > System. It looks to me like it's a permanent button just like the Windows Update button next to it. I can only guess it's Microsoft's subtle advertising way of encouraging Windows users to purchase a 365 subscription. I can see no way to remove or uninstall it. Maybe there's a registry hack, but that's out of my expertise.

Microsoft 365 was never installed. I have Microsoft Office 2016 installed. I have reset the PC, but I have not restarted it yet, I wanted to finish this reply first. If the problem is gone, I will let you know. Thank you.

Hi Sam. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

Is the trial also installed in Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & Features under Microsoft 365, Office 365 or Word, Excel, Outlook, etc?

If so I'd uninstall them there, restart PC to see if the Settings nags go away.

If not then try re-registering Settings:

    https://www.elevenforum.com/t/reset-and-re-regi.... Restart PC.

If none of those help then can I see a screenshots so I can see what you're seeing. Here's how to take screenshots and attach using Insert Image button in reply box: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/o...

Feel free to ask back any questions. If you'll report back results for each step it can help determine what else needs to be tried. I will stick with you until it is fixed.

I'm not sure a Reset will do it since it basically reinstalls the present version. I had suggested to re-register Settings app to see if that gets rid of it. It may not be removable.

If it can't be removed and you want to express your opinion on this to Microsoft use the Feedback Hub app in Start Menu where developers are tasked to process consumer feedback. They will not even see it here. This is a tech forums staffed mostly by volunteers trying to help others with your problems.
