Windows 11 Updates

I am using HP laptop with 8th gen processor. I got windows 11 updates with big blue banner in "windows updates". There was two option there download and install and "stay on windows 10 for now". I accidently clicked on "stay on windows 10 for now".

Now I am not seeing any option to install windows 11. When I contacted Microsoft they said just wait for a week because you chose "stay on windows 10 for now". After a week you will again get the windows 11 updates in "windows updates".

But since then I am waiting and waiting but I am not getting windows 11 updates in "windows updates". I want to upgrade to windows 11 through windows updates only. Any help?

Hi Subo,

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

Let us try triggering the compatibility again:

In the search,

type cmd, right-click it and choose run as administrator.

Execute this command:

schtasks.exe /Run /TN "\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience\Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser"

See if you get the option in Windows update again.
