The Windows camera app in my laptop will no longer save. I am getting the following error message:

The Camera Roll folder is where it has always been but I can't even check to see if the app is directed to the right place because there is no setting to change the file location:

I'm at a loss. How do I get the camera to save photos again??

Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Please try this method below.

Press Windows key + R

then paste this directory  below

%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Libraries

click ok

then the file explorer should open

then right-click on the Camera Roll folder

select properties

then click restore defaults

then click Apply.

If that didn't work. Open the Camera roll folder properties again

Click "Add" then select a new folder location where you want to save your camera photos

After you add the folder location under "Library locations:"

Select the new folder location then click "Set save location"
