a colleague found the answer... Pearson cannot take letters outside the english alphabet...
unable to schedule a exam from pearson VUE
I have tried to schedule the exam now for 5 days in a row, ending up on pearson VUE's site with "We can’t access your Microsoft profile to schedule your exam. To resolve the issue, try these steps in this order and return to the exam page to schedule the exam"
none of the steps helped.
Here the fifth day I tried to use another account, which works fine... but that's not the account with my credentials on it...
I tried to get Pearson VUE's help, and got told I couldn't get help over the online chat due to security, so I had to call them... which I did and only got "this phonecall is not allowed".
How can I make sure that they can access my microsoft profile?
I am certain that my Certification Profile has been filled out correctly.
