Strange "???????????" Folder

This folder appeared for awhile. I don't know how it came up. Somehow it only can be seen when you are trying to pick a folder to install a program. I don't know what is it, but is it a threat? And how do I remove it? If someone can answer those questions, I would be really thankful.

At this point I can only think to run check disk, if the drive is D: then open PowerShell (Admin) and enter chkdsk d: /f /r [press return].

And/or download Malwarebytes and run a full scan. Malwarebytes Cybersecurity for Home and Business | Anti-Malware & Antivirus

Scroll down settings under the view tab and remove the check for hiding system files. (although I don't think it will be displayed as a system file either)

It could be they are forbidden characters for file and folder names. Has this drive ever been used for Linux, or other none windows operating system?

In File Explorer show hidden files and folders and check the drive in File Explorer. In File Explorer select View > Options > View tab and change the settings to Show hidden files, folders and drives.
