Windows not working properly

A few days ago, I randomly kept on receiving blue screens making my pc restart. I can't remember whether the cause was because I just updated or installed something but my PC worked fine before. I built it myself and I've had it for nearly a year now with Windows 10 and it's worked perfectly. I tried troubleshooting it but when I tried Startup Repair it didn't work and said Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC. I think I did a system restore but that didn't work. I then tried uninstalling a recent quality update (I'm not sure if it worked or not because it said a problem occurred. But then after that, my problems just got worse. My screen started flickering and the taskbar and stuff would refresh every 2 seconds. I then did something which fixed that problem. But then today I got a new problem. My windows update and security wouldn't work. It keeps on saying Something went wrong. Try to reopen settings later. Also on my startup menu, you can't see the logos. When I type check for updates nothing shows up. When I click on my connection status at the bottom right it doesn't work. I then tried a bunch of different things, like writing different commands in cmd none of them worked. I checked my services and my Windows Defender Antivirus Service is missing. So I tried refreshing/ resetting my PC but keeping my files. I first tried downloading and reinstalling windows from Cloud but that didn't work so I tried reinstalling windows from this device (local reinstall) but that also didn't work. And finally, whenever I boot my PC up it says Please Wait and it takes so long for the login screen to appear. NONE of these problems has ever happened to me before. They've only started happening now. So please try and help me.

Also shouldn't I just do Update This PC Now on the media creation tool?

    Hi Bysh101 -

Thank you for your response. I apologize for the confusion. After you download the ISO file, save it to your computer then run it, follow the steps on your screen. Also, you don't have to purchase another product key after the reinstallation of Windows, all your data/files and application will remain intact.

    Regards,
    Jerico T.

    Hey Jerico T

I'm in the middle of doing your first method. So I created the ISO file and I saved it onto my computer. I then watched the video and they used the creation media tool again but instead of Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO) for another PC, they did Upgrade this PC now. So what's the point of creating an ISO file and saving it on my computer. It then said Burn this file onto a DVD but I didn't have one so I finished and when I checked the file it had an error for the availability status. Also before I continue to Upgrade My Pc now, it reinstalls windows right? So does that mean I have to buy another product key and activate the windows I'm about to reinstall again?

    Sorry for the trouble

    Hi Bysh101 -

I'm Jerico T., I understand that you're having some issues right now and I'd be more than happy to help you today.

Please try to perform the methods below and check if any of the methods will fix your concern.

    Method 1: In-Place Repair

    • In-place repair/upgrade or repair reinstall is a process of re-installing Windows without touching any of your applications or personal files. In this way if there's any data corruption, damaged system files or missing system files on your computer, this repair will fix or repair them.

To start we need to download an ISO file of Windows 10 and save it to your computer. Please follow the instruction on the link below to create an ISO file

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/402819...

After the ISO is created, follow the instructions (video tutorial) on the link below created by PaulSey, Microsoft Agent, on how to perform repair install on your computer.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

This process will take some time to complete so you need to be very patient in waiting until the process completes. Once done , restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    Method 2: Custom Install

    • a process wherein you will reinstall windows (latest version) on your computer using an ISO file and once the setup is done, you can recover your personal data/files on Windows.old folder. If you wish to proceed, please click the link below.

Feel free to reach back if you need any further assistance.

Hope this help. Have a good day.

    Thank you,

    Jerico T.
