Hi,

Hi, I have a plan to deploy SCCM (fresh install), I have +4000 clients in my environment, so I want to do it with best practices, to support +4000 clients, how many servers are needed?

Thank you.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

The official documentation has some good size and scaling numbers that you may use to determine how many servers you'll need:

Size and scale numbers for Configuration Manager
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/plan-design/configs/size-and-scale-numbers

There's no way to answer this question as designing a ConfigMgr hierarchy is about much more than just scale.

There are also no such things as generic best practices either -- if there were, you wouldn't have to make the choice as there would be no reason to make it configurable. You need to define your requirements and match those to the products capabilities. This requires sufficient knowledge of both. Anything else is asking for a bad experience and poorly designed site that does meet your expectations or requirements.
