OneDrive

  • opening files shared to me into other Microsoft apps (Word, Excel, etc) showing error "Can't open file This file has been moved, deleted, or renamed."

Outlook

  • browsing for files to attach to emails when opening My Files showing error "Something went wrong"

Microsoft Copilot

  • opening added shared folders showing "This folder is empty"

Microsoft 365 Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • added shared folders do not show up when file browsing in linked OneDrive account

These issues have been ongoing for almost a year and before this I could work completely off iPad. Would love to do that again..

Hello there! You can try the steps below:**

    1. Refresh OneDrive Integration with iPad Files App**
    • Open Settings on your iPad > OneDrive

Toggle Files Integration off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on

Then, force-close all Microsoft apps and reopen OneDrive first

    2. Re-add Shared Folders Sometimes, shared folders need to be manually added to your account:

Go to onedrive.live.com in Safari (desktop mode)

In the Shared section, choose any missing folders and click “Add shortcut to My files”

    3. Sign Out and Back In Sign out of OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook on your iPad, then restart the device and sign back in, starting with OneDrive. This can help refresh app permissions and file visibility.

    4. Check for Updates Please ensure that your iPadOS and all Microsoft 365 apps are fully updated. Some recent app updates have addressed similar issues.

We know this has been ongoing for quite a while, and we really appreciate your patience. If you’ve already tried these steps or nothing changes after trying them again, we’d be happy to escalate this further or work with Microsoft Support on your behalf to investigate deeper.1.
