Recording Breakout rooms in MS Teams

I would like to record breakout room sessions for each of the rooms I will create in MS Teams.

Firstly, is it possible to record all the breakout rooms concurrently?

Secondly, is there any function which enables a host restricting the access of recorded video from the attendees?

If anybody could provide an insight regarding the two questions above, that would be wonderful.

Yes, you can remove the breakout room 1 recording from student 1, in this case, you need to go to OneDrive. Please follow these steps below:

  1. Go to the chat tab on the left menu > select the breakout room meeting history.
  2. On the chat history you should be able to see the recording place holder > select (...) > select open in OneDrive. Image
  3. OneDrive will show you a video player, please click "X" on the top of the right corner. Image
  4. You should be able to see the list of the recording files, please select the recording in this example the recording from Breakout room 1 contains the words "Room 1-xxx". Then select (i) On the top of the right corner > select manage access.

  5. Select ("X") to remove the recording from Student 1. You can apply the same method to other students as well.

Please note, once you have removed the recording access from OneDrive the meeting participant you have just removed indeed will still be able to see the meeting recording placeholder in the chat history. That's totally normal & expected. However, once he clicks the "open in OneDrive" option then he should see the following error message.

    Hi Danie,

Thank your for answering my questions.

For my 2nd question, I will create more than 10 breakout rooms and want to restrict the access of Breakout Room 1 recording even from Student 1 who will be assigned to the Breakout Room 1.

Do you think I can modify in that way? or I cannot restrict students allocated to Breakout Room 1 from accessing their Breakout room recording after the session?

    Kind regards,

    Tom

    Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

    1. is it possible to record all the breakout rooms concurrently? Yes it's possible.
    2. is there any function that enables a host to restrict the access of recorded video from the attendees? The recording of each breakout room only available to breakout room participants. If you assign Student 1 to breakout room 1 then student 1 won't be able to access the recording on breakout room 2, the student 1 can only access the recording on breakout room 1. Is there any chance you are trying to modify the access?
