Adding top level groups in OneNote or Class Notebook

Hi,

I'm stuck with the following problem.
I would like to add more top level groups (like _Collaboration Space/ _Content Library / _Teacher Only).
But I only manage to add Sections or new Section groups which are sub groups of the top level groups.

So my question is, is this possible and if the answer is yes, how to do it?

Kind regards
Gene

    Hello Gene,

As far as I know, the structure of the Class Notebook is fixed and if we want we can create only additional section groups, however adding Section Group will act like the top-level group such as (_Collaboration Space/ _Content Library / _Teacher Only). After creating a Section Group in the Class Notebook and if you want to create a new Section separate from the Section groups or top-level groups, you can click on the Welcome section and click on Add Section.

If you are looking for the same level of permission as Content Library where only teachers can edit and students can view, I am afraid it's not possible to meet the requirement.

In addition, you can create students groups in the Class Notebook so groups of students can work on the section together for some projects. Reference: Give student groups separate permissions in the Collaboration Space (microsoft.com)

Thanks for understanding and stay safe!!

    Best Regards,

    Chitrahaas
