Teams Shift Scheduler

Is it possible to have multiple Team users able to edit the shift schedule? We are a large manufacturing facility and normally have multiple users who are authorized to edit the production schedule. My understanding is that currently only the Team owner can edit the schedule.

Any plans to have different use cases templates for the Shift Scheduler? Our production staff does not "Bid" for shifts but are assigned to a specific operation and shift schedule. The current use case looks to be in a "Bid" type environment which is atypical to manufacturing.

Any plans to allow shift schedule editing in a Mobile environment?

Lastly a description of our intended use of the Teams schedule: We will be soon testing the use of the Teams Schedule to cross filter manufacturing data in PowerBi. We have this now working via the Graph (beta) API. This greatly improves our reporting accuracy as well as gives us the ability to stratify reporting by shift. The only issues I currently see is that the shift can only be edited by the Teams owner.

Thank you for your time.

Best Regards

    Hi Jeffrey Moore,

Currently only teams’ owner can create and manage the shifts for the entire team, it is not possible to let team members edit the shift schedule.

For shifts schedule templates, you can refer to the following to check if is it can meet your goal:

    Employee schedule templates

Shifts is available both in Teams for Android and IOS app.

Please click the Settingsbutton, choose More apps, and you will see a list of apps including Shifts. Here is a screenshot for your reference:

    Best Regards,

    Hello Sylvie:

Thank you for the information. I will review the shift schedule templates. The templates may be a good work around for shift delegation rather than the "bid" model. Regarding mobile: The question was if shift editing from mobile is planned. I reviewed the Teams Ideas page and this request has already been posted and I voted for it. The main point if for Microsoft to consider several different use cases such as manufacturing, retail, etc. Most will have different requirements such as shift delegation verses shift bid. Thank you again for your time.

    Best

    Jeff
