received too many verification codes

Im trying to assign my phone number to my teams account but it's saying i've requested too many verification codes and to try again tomorrow, ive tried again the next day and it still has the same message

    First of all, I'd to let you know this is a peer-to-peer support forum meaning I'm just fellow regular MS Team forum users like you who are trying to help other MS Team forum users with their MS Team issue.     Back to your main issue.

    If you have requested too many codes I suspect your account has been locked because the system has noticed some unusual activity and the security system is trying to protect you from potential intruders. Please read Microsoft Services Agreement:  https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=530144

    I suggest you fill out the Account Reinstatement Form to reactivate your account: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/concern/Account...

    This activation process can take up to 24 hours or more depending on how many queries are being handled. Please note, as fellow MS Team forum users, regarding account issues I won't be able to help you beyond what you can do for yourself in the form.

    Since it may take some time for the Account Reinstatement staff to respond to your request. If you need a quick solution then I suggest signing up for the MS Team free organization account instead.

    When it comes to MS Team free, I'd like to let you know there are 2 types of accounts

    1. MS Team free personal account.
    2. MS Team free organization account.

    Please note those 2 accounts are not the same.

    If you need to assign a phone number then I probably think you are trying to sign up for MS Team free personal account. However, you don't have to register a phone number to sign up for the MS Team free organization unlike with the MS Team free personal account.
