What is the function of setting up webinars using ms teams specifically using registration NONE?.. if I set none instead of requiring registration, anyone who clicks the link provided can join the webinars straight away. Is it right?.

If I have account office 365 (provided by the university, for staff), can this webinar function accommodates up to 1000 participants?

Hi Aril_04

Yes, As a Teams webinar host you will get full capability/functionality of the webinar in Teams even if "required registration" set to none.

To know more about webinars in Microsoft Teams and overall experience, see the following article:

    Hi Aril_04,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

That's right, if you choose "required registration" to now, then participants will not require to register, and they get to the meeting straight using the Teams webinar link.

Teams webinar allows to host 1000 participants, and 10000 participants can join seamlessly using a view-only experience.

refer to the "Video Transcript" section in the article, and point in the above article:

    • Okay, so to expand on your point about scale, how many people does this extend to using webinars in Teams? I know that today we can do around 300 people in an interactive meeting, right?

    Hi Nik,

Thanks a lot for your response. Can I (as the host) get the full capability/functionality of the webinar in Teams if no registration is set to none?
