Teams issues on second screen

Hi all,

I currently have a Surface Pro 7 which is connected to a docking station through the USB-C output.

When I open Teams on my Surface screen, everything looks fine, but when I drag it to the second screen, the image is magnified by at least 2 times.

This does not happen with Zoom.

Any suggestions??

Hi Rob. The Teams desktop app improves the user experience, but now the problem was isolated to the desktop app only.

We continue come near to the problem causes to solve it, please answer me:

    1. Could you use the second screen previously with Teams desktop app without problem?
    2. What happen if you clear the cache files?

To delete all cache files, you follow these steps (in Windows):

    a. Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client.

    b. Go to File Explorer, and (Windows 10) type in

appdata\Microsoft\teams and remove all the content. In Windows 11 you

    type AppData\Local\Packages\MicrosoftTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

    and remove all the content.

    c. You must restart the app and try again.

    1. You keep in mind that for use the USB-C to HDMI adapter, Microsoft recommends to use the HDMI adapter with a HDMI 2.0 cable or higher.
    2. If the problem still, you can try to use one of the Microsoft suggested methods in this article:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/tro...

I hope that you can solve the problem, please let me know about the result, because other users with the same problem will know what to do.

Greetings and have a nice day.

    Hi Sergio,

    Thanks for the reply.

All updates have been installed from both Windows and Microsoft.

I have now tried using the web app and this issue is not present. Does this mean i need to continue using the web based version? if i recall correctly, i was advised to install the desktop version to gain access to all the features?

    Regards

    Rob

Hi RobAmo, I'm Sergio, it's a pleasure to help you.

You need to isolate the problem causes to solve it, please answer me:

    1. What happen if you use the Teams web app (preferably the last update of Edge or Chrome)?
    2. Do you have pending Windows updates to execute?
    3. Do you have pending drivers updates to execute from the manufacturer site?

    Greetings.
