Error code 801C0024 on Desktop Teams App

Hello MS community -

One of our employees is receiving the following error code when trying to log in to their account after launching the Microsoft Teams app (on Windows 10): 801C0024

Searching both here and Google has turned up very little, and the strange part about it is that when the employee dismisses the error screen/clicks "continue", they are taken to the Teams app and it seems to work just fine. The error message is more of an irritation than anything, but it would be great if we could figure out why this is happening.

Many thanks in advance for any insight

    Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an Independent Advisor.

First of all, I'd to let you know this is a peer-to-peer support forum meaning I'm just fellow regular MS Team forum users like you who are trying to help other MS Team forum users with their MS Team issue. So in this case, I'm Non-Microsoft Staff I don't have access to your account nor I'm authorized to do so. I hope we can have a mutual understanding from the beginning to avoid misunderstanding.

    Back to your main issue.

Could you please reset the MS Team app and see how it goes.

Please visit the following article and refer to the section, under the "Windows: Clear Teams Cache" section. https://www.uvm.edu/it/kb/article/clearing-team...

However, if the problem still persists then please run the MS Team app in compatibility mode:

    • Right-click the MS Team icon on the taskbar then select quit.
    • Then right-click the MS Team icon on the desktop > select properties > Under the compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" option then select Windows 8 from the dropdown list
