External Webcam crashes when using teams

Hi,

I have one user who is trying to use an external webcam with Teams, the webcam will show his picture for roughly 2 seconds, then it will crash and switch to the laptops internal camera. The webcam works fine with other software such as Skype for business. however if he joins a teams meeting first, the webcam will work until someone else joins the meeting and it will crash

I have tested using the webclient and desktop application, neither work.

I have also tried clearing the cache and reinstalling teams.

and I have also tried this fix - https://www.windowscentral.com/how-fix-webcam-freezing-issue-windows-10-anniversary-update which also didn't work.

Any ideas on what else I can try to get this webcam working with Teams?

Please be advised that not all external USB camera is supported with MS teams. So, Microsoft has certified some devices that work and support the MS teams seamlessly.
