audio stream breaking up

when listening to any type of audio (streaming audio or video,  saved  replayed voice or music,) on Bluetooth, the  audio stream is broken; it sounds like an old fashioned   VOIP   bad connection.   Switching  to  the  built in speaker yields  normal sound,  volume changes have no effect, nor does restarting the computer or the file. The  issue seems to be in bluetooth.   This started when I got new hearing aids with built-in bluetooth.  it does not happen all the  time, if can start and stop several times in a  single file, or stay broken for an  extended time.  The hearing aids work flawlessly with blujetooth on  all sources other than my laptop.   i am running W10 on a Dell INSPIRON about 2 years old.; phonak  marvel  hearing aids

is this likely to be a  Microsoft issue, a  Dell issue or  a  hearing aid issue?  any  guidance or thoughts will be very appreciated.

    Hi alanjudelson,

Since you posted the question under Microsoft Teams category, I would like to confirm that did you meet this problem during the Teams audio/video call?

If so, may I know if there are any error messages during the audio call? please capture a screenshot to us, so that I can do more research.

If your scenario isn’t related to Microsoft Teams, I suggest you post a new thread under Windows 10 category, there will be a corresponding engineer to help you.

    We truly appreciate your cooperation.

    Thanks,

    Linda
