Turn off chat function during live meeting

Question

Is it possible to turn off the chat function that is within a live meeting? Some of our students are chatting away in the "meeting chat" during a live meeting. It would be great to be able to turn off chat during meeting when needed. If it's possible at the admin level, I would like a link to the fix so I can forward to our tech department.

you can adjust this for users. that mean you can create a new Meeting Policy and change the default meeting policy per user.

So this would affect our entire district, not just our campus, right? There's no way to adjust this policy per campus.

not, if you change the default meeting policy that means it will affected to all users. for example you have disabled the chat option; meeting between teachers or meeting between students will be affected on the same way.

There is not option to be controlled by the meeting Organizer

Hi Skypper, thank you for sharing the document. It when says its a "per organizer policy", does that nean the function had to be enablrd at the district level first? And then organizers can decide if they want the chat option to be on or off for each meeting? For example, a teacher meeting with other teachers may want chat turned on but a teacher meeting with students may want chat turned off on some occasion. Do you mind sharing a screenshot of what the options look like on the admin side?
