Teams disabling Windows functionality during calls

During Teams calls and screen sharing I have found that the custom windows shortcut keys (CTRL+ALT+<key> to open file or folder) usually stop working altogether (at best some work and some don't).  This only occurs while on Teams calls and doesn't occur any other time.  Again During GoToMeetings, or Webex meetings I have no issue.

I suspect that Teams is disabling a Windows process in order to optimize the Performance during calls.  Is there an option to somehow unblock this functionality so I can again use my 30+ Windows custom keyboard shortcuts?

When i press a bunch of keyboard shortcuts I the process manager slightly spikes for the windows process dwm.exe (Desktop Window Manager) so I suspect this process may be responsible for allowing me to run my keyboard shortcuts.  Any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks, Lawrence

    Hi LOOreganoHF,

Thank you for your input sir amid with detail information.

Currently seems there is not that much information we could gathering relating to how compatible about the windows shortcut key with the Team one.  The shortcut may also verify the keyboard type, for instance, US or other layout might not correspond exactly key on a us keyboard.

You may try "Disable GPU hardware acceleration" when in the Teams, clicking your avatar and select the setting.

In addition, here is the full list shortcut for Teams, the open files shall be Ctrl+6, you can refer to
