Assignments cannot be updated

Question

I accidentally achieved a Team in use... After discovering that, I activated the Team concerned again. However, after re-activating the Team, my colleague found that she could not update the assignments posted before...

Is there any additional settings I need to set to help bringing the Team fully alive again?

Interesting, It looks like it takes some time, I would say quite some time in your case to switch these settings back, so I advise to come back after hours and make sure that everything back to normal.

I cannot suggest a specific time as I couldn't find one that supports it. However, Microsoft suggests waiting 24 hours if you restore a deleted Teams which is different from archiving.

Strange tho...

I tried to update the assignment a few hours ago, only to find the 'update' button disappeared; but when I tried just now, the button came back!

Can I make a hypothesis that it takes up to 30 hours for an achieved team to be fully re-activated again?

I could reproduce the scenario, students are not able to turn in assignments after archiving teams with the following option enabled - "Make the SharePoint site read-only for team members.",

I couldn't perform all possible scenarios but the below steps will bring missing assignments in students queue those are got read-only after unarchiving team(class).

1. Click on Team(Class)
2. Go to Assignments -> Edit Assignments -> Update
3. It will enable turn-in assignments option for student again

Mostly correct but... I am not sure whether students could turn in their assignments, but the teacher could not update the assignments herself; and she could not give comments to students previous assignments also -- in other words, all the previous assignments became read-only

If I understand correctly, the team was archived mistakenly and later unarchived. however, after restore students are not able to update their assignments. Please let me if that is the correct understanding.

If I may ask, could you provide me with the screenshot of assignment that doesn't allow to student turn in?
