Cannot remove chat posts from General team chat

The answers on "how to remove chat" in these community forums all seem to instruct the user to open the 3 dots More options and hit delete in the drop down menu, however my chat More options drop down does not have edit or delete as an option!  When the 3 dots are opened my options are Save, Mark as Read, Copy Link, Share to Outlook, Immersive Reader and Turn on notifications.  The more actions as the last option opens to Create a new Poll.  Thanks in advance for the assistance!

    Hi GJManion,

Good day! Hope you are doing well. I am Jennifer, an Independent Advisor and a user like you.

The reason why you are unable to see the delete chat is it is disabled for your teams organization policy.

There's a messaging policy in teams that the global administrator in Office365 can customize to allow/restrict the deletion of chats or posts.

    Here's the link:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams...

If you are the global administrator, you can configure this and turn it on yourself. If not, you may contact your IT admin who sets up your Office365 account.

Kindly confirm if this resolves the issue.

    Stay safe!
