Muted

My professor added me to a team for my clinical and it says my replies are disabled because I am muted. We looked at the settings for the team on her account and the account of the other student in the team and both say that I am not muted. For some reason, this is only showing up on my end. She has tried removing me as a member and adding me back but nothing is working. There is no way for her to unmute me because I'm not muted on her side. Does anyone know what is going on / how to fix this?

Thank you

If you are muted on the channel then your team owner needs to double-check again the channel settings. Please ask your team owner to refer to the following article:

Hi thank you for your response! I am muted on the channel, but not during meetings. So I can go to video meetings, but outside of meetings, I cannot post or reply to anything in the general channel. I have tried logging in and out several times on my phone, desktop app, and chrome. I've also tried other computers and uninstalling and re-installing the desktop app.

    Hi LeahRx

My name is Daniel. I will be more than happy to assist you.

May I ask, are you muted on the channel or during the meeting?

I'm wondering whether you are experiencing the same issue when using MS Teams online.

Please follow these steps below to isolate the issue:

    1. Please go to your computer then open your chrome or edge browser as the only recommended browsers to access MS Teams online.
    2. Please go to MS Teams online https://teams.microsoft.com
    3. Then try to log in.
    4. Check the issue again.

Are you experiencing the same issue when you are using MS Teams online from your computer?
