Request access to meeting notes does not send e-mail to meeting notes owner

Our team has a recurring meeting in MS teams with meeting notes. Our new team member can not access these notes, as is expected according to your help page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/take-meeting-notes-in-teams-3eadf032-0ef8-4d60-9e21-0691d317d103 .

However, when he requests access with the provided button, this should send an e-mail to me (I am listed as the meeting notes owner, having created them originally): "Others can request access, and the owner of the notes will be notified via email." I do not receive an e-mail. I have checked the spam folder too, to be sure. The meeting organizer also did not receive an e-mail.

I have tried deleting the notes and remaking them (pasting the previous content) but this too did not provide the new team member with access.

We are still under the limit of 20 people in this meeting.

How can we grant our new team member access to the meeting notes?

Hi Marjolein,

I’m Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

Quick question, just to rule out that there is no issue with email service, could you please confirm that you receive all other email notifications from MS teams?
Also, all new members in recurring meeting from your organisation?

Regards
Nik

    Hello Nik.

Thank you for the time to look into this. It seems the e-mail did eventually arrive with a 2,5 hour delay which probably has something to do with my mail service. You can therefore close this, it was not actually an ms teams problem.

    Best regards,

    Marjolein
