Teams Recording Problem

Anonymous
2020-04-20T13:22:56+00:00

I finished a meeting in Teams 80 minutes ago. It displays as ended. I recorded the meeting. The recording status still shows as Saving to Microsoft Stream. I know this operation takes a while but not usually this long. This may be because I removed this repeated weekly meeting from the calendar before the recording finished saving. What can I do to retrieve the recording? Thanks.

I have the same problem. I've been waiting for 8 hours to process the video and only a few short fragments are available in MS Stream. One film is still being processed and two available fragments have staus "recording ended unexpectedly". What should I do to access the recorded video?

Thanks for the replies. Here's an update. After several hours (with me having done nothing), the apparently problematic video that had appeared in my activity stream became playable. When I checked it, it was a recording of the last 23 minutes of the 2 hour meeting. Then, after another 2 hours or so, another video appeared (nowhere near the first one in the stream) which was a recording of the first 90 minutes. There are a few minutes missing - from between the two recordings - but what I have is adequate. I have no information about what happened (nothing seemed weird during the meeting itself), and had done nothing to fix things, so I'm afraid I can't advise anyone as to any steps they can take, aside from wait and hope. Sorry! I think the second video finally appeared about 6 hours after the meeting ended.

I have exactly the same problem with Michael (and it has nothing to do with the calendar). Is there any solution?

    Thanks

Follow up: the recording has now appeared in the Activity stream but it won't play. When I try to play it, I get a message saying: 'this video is not ready'. It is also quoting an unusually short length (about one quarter of what it should be) and the information symbol contains a message saying 'the recording ended unexpectedly'. I fear this may be a result of my removing the repeat meeting from the calendar during the uploading process. I suspect there's nothing I can do, but if anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful. Thanks.
