automatically locking page in Onenote

Hi, we got the message below from a tutor, to me it seems that the software is doing what it should, but does anyone know if this can be turned off, and if so, I assume the student would still be able to amend it before it's marked (ie a friend tells them the answer to a question they were unsure of ).

'I wondered if you could help me. I set my homework on Teams and nearly always attach an onenote page to the task for students to complete the work in, and set a due date for the task.

Whenever a student ‘marks as done’, the page in onenote locks, meaning if I want them to later make edits and improve their homework, they can’t action this until I’ve unlocked the page.

Is there an easier way of me stopping ‘marking as done’ on Teams automatically locking my onenote pages?'

Thank you in advance for any help/tips

Scott

    Hi, Scott,

My name is Didi. I'm happy to help you today.

If my understanding is correct, the tutor wants the students to still be able to make changes and prevent automatic locking of their class notebooks. May I ask if they've tried removing the Page Locking feature to allow students to make edits?

    Best regards,
