Split from this thread.

Hi there,

I'm organisations admin having trouble accessing teams for my account, getting the the error "You're missing out! Ask your admin to enable Microsoft Teams for ..."

I have checked Microsoft Teams is enabled for each person.

Any information will help. Thank you.

My Organization is having the same issue for our students only. Our Faculty and Staff Users seem to be ok. All users have been issued the Microsoft Teams License. Thank you.

Hello Dave,

From the logs I found one error:

APP: App loading "app_state_service" failed due to error: {"data":{"errorCode":"TeamsDisabledForTenantForbidden","message":"User Login. Teams is disabled for your tenant."},"status":403,"statusText":"","retryStatus":"aborted","isHandled":true,"stepName":"authenticationService_skype-auth"}, redirecting to oops page

}

 ---------------

For error code “TeamsDisabledForTenantForbidden”, I’d like to confirm with you whether you enabled Teams on Student license level:

Sign in Office 365 admin center -> Settings -> Services & add-ins ->choose Microsoft Teams.

If the Education-Student have been enabled, please turn off and enable again (If you can’t find this settings, please kindly check if you’re using new admin center, you need to change back to the old admin center to enable it).

Waiting for a while to let change take effects, it may take up to 24 hours.

If issue persists, or you have different scenario, please feel free to contact me.

Best Regards,

Anna

    Hi Anna,

I uploaded the logs last night. I have since confirmed that student users also cannot login to Teams via the local App.

    Thank you.

    Hello Dave,

Thank you for your quick response. I’d like to confirm whether all logs have been completely downloaded? It seems to be only part of them:

From the chatList log we couldn’t find further information, would you mind collecting them again and save them all to local?

Besides, you can download Teams directly from official site https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/free .

    Thanks,

    Anna

    Thanks for your help, Anna.

Yes, The students appear in the Teams admin center. Students receive the message when attempting to login to Teams via the web client. I am not able to install the local app using a student account.

    Hello Dave,

To better help you, your reply has been split into a new thread.

I’d like to confirm that whether you can find these students inTeams admin center?

Please let them try both Teams Web App as well as Teams desktop app, by this way we can further scope if the issue is related to any Teams client.

To further analysis it, may I collect  debug log from you in Private Message: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/privatemessage/inbox? You can let one impacted user sign in problematic Teams client, after issue been reproduced, use shortcut key: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + 1or Option + Command + Shift+1to download all log files and compress all to one file.

    Best Regards,

    Anna
