Cannot answer a call in Teams

The support page says, "When someone calls you, you'll get a notification that lets you accept or decline the call." NO I DON'T. There is no such notification in any Teams activity area. If I press the telephone handset icon on my screen, it calls the person calling me. ****?!? Many thanks for your help, PW

In this case please try to contact your Teams admin (if you don't know who is your admin, please contact the IT department of your company or school) and then check if your admin has assigned the proper permissions on your account – or, he/she can open a support ticket with Microsoft to have a solution about this.

Hello Juan Pedro. Thank you for responding to my question.

I got a Teams phone call from a colleague this morning right after I started my laptop for the day, and booted Teams.

I could not answer the call. I have never been able to answer a call, or have seen a visual notification of any kind. I only hear the audio "ring" for the call.

If I click on on the purple "handset" icon on my screen, Teams calls the person calling me and then I have two calls happening.

The only way I have been able to contact someone who calls me is to hang up their call and call them back.

My laptop belongs to my employer and is locked. I am not permitted to uninstall/reinstall software.

    Hello pwcopy55,

My name is Juan Pedro and I'm a fellow customer and expert user. I will be more than happy to assist you today!

Just to better assist you, you are saying that you don't see the screen withing Teams showing you that someone is calling you?

If this is the case, have you tried rebooting your computer and/or/ uninstalling and reinstalling Teams?

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you.
