I get this error when my Teams comes up asking to login. Why? Then at home I noticed the same script error when opening IE11. Why is that? And what can I do to stop it as it will not go away until I right click and select close from the task bar. No matter if I choose YES or NO, stays there.

    This happens when I am in Team client. I did all the following and still get the same script error. I do not have this issue when signing in on the web.  I removed the app, reinstalled and it came up fine and sat there for a while. As soon as I go to type my username, the error comes back.

    Hello MarcA_7886,

    Thanks for your confirmation. I can see that you have already reinstalling Teams, but the problem persists. Please make sure you installed the latest version of Teams. You can click your profile image > Check for Updates to apply the latest version to see if it can help.

    Meanwhile, you can also try to create a new Windows user profile to check if there are any improvements.

    If you still have this problem, please provide us a screenshot of your Teams version for further investigation. Just click your profile image > About > Version to check it.

    Best Regards,

    Sylvie

    Hello MarcA_7886,

    May I confirm if this situation occurs in both Teams client and your IE browser? If so, for Teams client, you can try to clear the Teams client cache to see if it can help:

    1.  Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client. You can right click Teams from the Icon Tray and select ‘Quit’, or run Task Manager and fully kill the process.

    2.  Go to File Explorer, and type in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams.

    3.  Once in the directory, you’ll see a few of the following folders:

    ========================================================

     a.  From within ‘Application Cache’, go to Cache and delete any of the files in the Cache location.

        *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache

     b.  From within ‘Blob_storage’, delete any files that are located in here if any.

        *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage

     c.  From within ‘Cache’, delete all files.

        *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache

     d.  From within ‘databases’, delete all files.

        *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases

     e.  From within ‘GPUCache’, delete all files.

        *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache

     f.  From within ‘IndexedDB’, delete the .db file.

        *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB

     g.  From within ‘Local Storage’, delete all files.

        *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage

     h.  Lastly, from within ‘tmp’, delete any file.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp

    ====================================================

    Once the cleanup is finally completed, you can now restart Teams and check the results.

    For browsers, to rule out IE problems, I recommend you open Teams in Private mode or change to other browsers (such as Chrome, Firefox) to check the results.

    Best Regards,

    Sylvie
