Teams "saving changes" take forever

Question

I was creating a team and I wanna apply an icon for it. But when I click 'Save', the saving takes really long and there was no stopping. It only works when I rename the team as well.

According to your description, you cannot change the team picture unless you change the name of the team. Firstly, I’d like to confirm whether you are using Teams for Education or not. If so, I suggest you try the following methods and check whether it works:

1.  Assign the owner role to another person, and then let that owner help you change the team picture.

2.  Try again with different network connection such as WiFi.

If this issue still persists, to further assist you, I’d like to collect the following information:

1.  The detailed screenshot about your issue, and I will test it from our side.

2.  Please collect Debug logs and send the logs to me via private message at your convenience. I will help you check the reason. To get the logs, reproduce the issue first and then press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + 1. The debug logs are automatically downloaded to the folder: %userprofile%\Downloads.

From your description, my understanding is that you cannot change the picture for your team. Given this situation, I suggest you quit Teams and re-open it to change the picture again.

Besides, you can also try signing into Teams Web App to see whether you can change the icon there.

1.  I’d like to confirm whether you have the same problem when changing the pictures for other teams.

2.  What's the size of the picture? And can you successfully upload other pictures for this team?

3.  The screenshot of the problem you encounter. It will make us more aware of your problem.

4.  The screenshot about your Teams version. To get the version, please click your Avatar > About > Version, and you will see the version at the top of Teams.

No, the only way to change it is to also change the name.

No, it doesn't work with Teams web app. I am using 1.2.00.27559 (64-bit) Teams.
