I have tried to log into my Teams app on my desk top and it says my account doesn't exist.  However, I can login on the web browser.  I have tried to restart the app but it still says my account doesn't exist.  I would appreciate any help!

    Hi Rachael,

    Thanks for the input.

To narrow down the issue, please try clearing the app cache by these steps and try again:

    https://www.uvm.edu/it/kb/article/clearing-team...

If you still see the issue, then clear cached MS Teams login password from credentials manager:

    1. Open the Credentials Manager (Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager)
    2. Select Windows Credentials
    3. Under Generic Credentials, you will see one called: msteams_adalsso/adal_context_segments.

Also, any credentials entry with "MicrosoftAccount:user=" keyword

    1. Delete them
    2. Sign out and Sign-in again
    3. Try accessing Ms teams app again

Please let me know the outcome, and I'll further look into this.

    Hi Rachael,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

You get this message when one of the domain email aliases has already registered to any Microsoft services/free trial.

To further understand your actual situation and help you better, please offer me more information at your convenience. Thanks.

    1. May I know if you are trying to sign-up for Microsoft Teams free with your personal email address like (Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Live etc. or work/school account (your organization IT department manages)?
    2. Do you have a private domain(purchased from a domain provider, e.g. GoDaddy) registered to your organization?
    3. if you have a private domain then help me with the part of the domain name after @, e.g. @skye.com

    Regards

    Nik
