Chat window does not render previous messages (Mac)

I have started having a really odd problem with the Teams desktop client, the chat windows are not rendered at all! The only way to see old messages and to write a new message is to click on a name to have a popup window (the "Open new chat in" setting is on "Main window" as before). I have tried a couple of things like clearing the cache, signing out and in again, uninstalling and reinstalling the client. Does not help!

I can also confirm this is only an issue on the desktop client, as the teams web application works fine, as well as the iOS mobile client.

Yesterday some more troubleshooting revealed an interesting piece of insight, when I share screen the chat messages are shown properly but as soon as I stop sharing screen the messages rendering of the chat window breaks again. Which I find very peculiar...

I have searched for "Teams" on the console app, there are some errors about the GPU (more specifically "getattrlist failed") but GPU acceleration is already disabled.

I find this very irritating as it impacts my day to day work. Any insights?

Hi uki03, I'm Sergio, it's a pleasure to help you.

You can try with one of these items:

    1. Ensure that you don't have pending MacOS update to execute.
    2. Ensure that you don't have pending Team app update to execute.
    3. Turn On the GPU aceleration again.
