Teams - Chat message issue

Hello,

About a week ago Teams was having connectivity issues and a couple messages failed to send.

Now, one of those messages appears to be getting retried whenever I start up Teams. It moves to the bottom of the chat, but remains with the "sending..." flag. It never gets where it's going. There is no option to cancel, delete, or retry. It just sits there..pending. And every time the app restarts, it drops to the bottom.

Any way to forcibly delete/cancel this message floating in digital purgatory?

I do not have administrator rights. I'm surprised I would need that to delete a pending message in a private chat. I'll reach out to see if anyone at my organization has admin rights.

    Thanks.

    Hi Timothy_58,

Thanks for your post. Based on your description, you want to delete a “sending” chat message in Teams. Please help to confirm you have permission to delete it, you can check it via Office 365 Admin center: go to Office 365 Admin center->settings->services & add-ins->Microsoft Teams->Messaging.

Note: you can check it if you have admin permission. If no, please ask your admin to check it.

After making sure you have permission to delete it, then you can choose the message and click More options like below:

If I have any misunderstanding or this issue is different scenario, please feel free correct me, and you can provide a screenshot about this “sending ” message to us.

    Regards,

    Richard
