I have a  problem with Microsoft Teams.  when I am sharing files for all to view the "recent" files that show are very old.
I select Share Content.
Then under the PowerPoint it has two old files from last fall, not my most recent (it USED to show the most recent) and I have to select Browse which gives me two choices 1. Upload from my computer or 2 One Drive.  The Upload from my computer tells me "This file already exists, looks like you recent shared this file in Teams" and I can select Upload a copy or Replace (both work but take extra time.)  If I select OneDrive, I have to select the folder and then the file (so extra steps).

Question:  How do I get recent PP files to be parked there for easy access?

Thx, Shelley

    Hi Shelley,

Yes, It takes some time to show up frequently accessed files in recent. I'm glad to know that you see the files and it is available now for your quick view.

    Regards

    Thanks Nik,
it took me multiple tries of saving, refreshing, doing a small change re-saving, refreshing, uploading to my Team files (where the only options to refresh are there and the recents) and refreshing multiple times (and going over to the web version).  For the first several times only one of my two showed, but finally I got them both to show up.
So it seems that I copied and pasted these over to my OneDrive folder and it wanted them to be uploaded onto my Files under my Teams section and then refreshed and then it would show in my recent.  So some extra upfront steps but they are both there now and I need them quickly (Welcome slides and Final slide for Medical CME I host/facilitate).

    thanks!  Shelley

    Hi SB_Prov,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

MS Teams follows some algorithm to show the recent files. It picks the latest file you have opened from OneDrive. This file could one that you worked on or shared by, or you shared with someone.

Please click on the refresh button to force reload the latest file and check the outcome. refer to the screenshot to locate the refresh button.

I wonder if you see a similar experience on MS teams web app https://teams.microsoft.com. Please access the team web app and check the outcome.

Please let me know the outcome, and I'll look further into this.

    Regards

    Nik
