Cannot log into TEAMS from android tablet

Hi ,

MS Teams was working on my Android tablet until last Thursday. Today i tried to login , it asks for username password and it never connects.

I tried to access https://teams.microsoft.com/ from the browser in tablet and that didnt work either.

All my other apps work fine and i am able to access other websites through the browser as well.

Things i have tried so far

  • restarting the tablet
  • clearing cache and data of the app
  • resetting the tablet to factory setting and installing only Teams again.
  • I borrowed my family members ipad to check in that . Teams worked with that (we were on the same network)

But it doesnt work on the tablet.

Need urgent help as my daughter uses that for her e-learning during Covid Lockdown.

    Hi Jennifer,

    Through the app

    I tried to login with the test account. The outcome is the same. It doesnt give any error message. I entered the username, it took me to the page to give the password, entered the password, then it said "we are signing you in, please wait..." and then nothing it just stops trying to login and stays in the same screen.

    App Version : 1416/1.0.0.2020041602

    The app was working until Thursday 2020 04 16.

    Through the browser

    I tried to login from the browser , it takes me to the Teams page , I clicked on "Start Using Teams" link and then it took me to "teams.microsoft.com/start" page and there it again failed. (Screenshot attached along).

    Note: There was no network issue as it took me all the way to this link through the teams webpage which i got to from google (ie. i did not enter the url)

    Hi Abhilzs,

    Thanks for your reply and let us know above details. To further confirm whether this issue is related with the Teams APP on the tablet, I will send you a test account via the Private Message (PM), please kindly check if you can login to Teams on the tablet with the test account.  

    Moreover, from your description, you also cannot login your daughter's account via the browser, may I know if you receive the same error message when trying to login with the Teams desktop app?

    If you also cannot sign into Teams with the test account, then this issue is related with the Teams APP on the tablet. Please kindly send us following information for analysis:

    1. A screenshoot of the error message for further analysis.
    2. The detailed version of the Teams app.
