Microsoft Teams Graphics Problem

Hey,

I have some problems with the graphics using MS Teams. Every time I am in class or in a call, the application begins to show some type of snowing effect. In fact, even if I use the light or dark mode, my application shows some white or black pixels at different places. When I navigate with my mouse on the spot, the snowing effect disappears. I would guess it is a problem with my graphic card but I have a brand new gaming computer and don't have any problem with any other software. Also, I don't have any filter active on my graphic card.

Could you guys help me?

Thanks!

    Hi Fred27V,

I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this issue.

Firstly, I would suggest you follow the below basic troubleshooting to avoid common issues due to app cache:

    1. Manually restart the app by right-clicking the icon in your taskbar (Windows) and selecting Quit.
    2. Go to File Explorer, delete any of the files in the following locations:

    • %AppData%\Microsoft\teams

    1. Click the app icon to open it again.

Besides, you could access the 'Teams Web App' https//teams.microsoft.com, use "Use the web app instead" option to open teams in a browser and check the outcome. It will help to isolate the issue with the desktop app.

    Regards

    Nik

    Hi Fred27V,

Please let me know what device make and operating systems build version you have to look further in this.

Also, You could try to update the graphics card drives and see if that helps.
