IdentityCache folder missing/never created

I've performed an install of Microsoft Teams for my organization's non-persistent VDI environment (VMware Horizon and Dynamic Environment Manager) by following the documentation at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-for-vdi.

That document indicates that the %localAppdata%\Microsoft\IdentityCache directory should be made persistent, that directory doesn't exist or is never created in the first place, forcing the end-user population to sign in to Teams every time they start a new desktop session.

Fresh Windows 10 and Teams install. Has anyone else experienced this?
