Hello Tanishk Jorwal,

Thanks for your post here.

According to your description, I understand that the background effects feature is not available on your Teams. Based on my knowledge, to be able to set background effects you need to be using Teams on a PC or Mac. To apply the background effects, here is an article for your reference: Change your background for a Teams meeting.

Regarding your problem, firstly, I'd like to confirm whether you are using Windows or Mac OS. Secondly, please make sure your Teams is up to date. To check it, please click on your profile picture and select Check for Updates. Thirdly, you can go to check if you enable new meeting experience. It will make your experience better.

Suppose you are using Teams on Windows and the feature is not available during a meeting, here is a workaround you can have a try to see if the background effect is available. And the steps are as follows:

1.  Close your Teams client.

2.  Open the File Explorer, and type %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, then back up the files desktop-config.json, settings.json and storage.json.

3.  Copy the same files from the PC where the background effects is available to your PC. Note: When you copy and paste the folder, please make sure Teams and Outlook are both closed.

4.  Restart Teams to see the result.

If it cannot work, please provide the Teams detailed version to me for further assistance and I will try my best to help you.

Regards,

Seven
