Teams Error About Joining

Hello. When I joined a meeting today, a notification came up, telling me I joined from another device, and if I want to join on this one as well. I think this happens when you join a meeting from two devices at the same time but I was only using one. Do you think my account is hacked? Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for your post on the community forum. I'm Nik, an independent advisor here to assist you with this.

You get this message when you try joining a team meeting with two devices.

If you are not connected with two devices, then try transferring the meeting on your device and change the Team account password to avoid any misuse of your account.

If your admin has enabled the self-service password reset from the back end, then users can change the password on their own.

Please visit this link to reset your password:

By any chance, have you logged on to your MS Teams account on any other device? When you access your MS Teams on another device, it saves your credentials and sign in to your account automatically on the next visit.

How would someone be able to do that? By the way, do you think this could be due to my phone being hacked?

    Thanks for your reply.

Have you checked with the meeting organizer if there is anyone with your name in the meeting? If so, then there is a possibility that someone has impersonated your credentials.

    Regards

Thank you so much for the reply. I have changed my password but the same issue has also happened two months ago. There isn't an unusual sign in activity so I don't know what it is. I am really worried.
