Tenant Error when using client guest account

Hi all,

we work for another client that uses Teams with a 2 step verification process.  My company recently added a Teams account so that I can schedule calls with our client.  Both our account and the client account are linked to my work email.  When I try to switch accounts I get this error:

Message: AADSTS90072: User account '******@XXXX.ca' from identity provider 'https://sts.windows.net/4edc53c5-994c-47bf-9e47-68f131eb2472/' does not exist in tenant 'XXXX, Limited' and cannot access the application '1fec8e78-bce4-4aaf-ab1b-5451cc387264'(Microsoft Teams) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account

I've reinstalled Teams multiple times including restarting my computer.  If I recall correctly there was a dialogue box asking me to authorize control to our Administrator that was not popped up again. I've searched this issue and seems like lots of people have experienced this issue but I can't seem to find a fix.

Any guidance would be appreciated.  Our IT does not support Teams because corporately we use Google instead. Trying to figure this out on my own. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Please be advised this issue requires admin access in order to be able to fix this, unfortunately, there's no other way around.

So please take your time to reach out to your admin.

    Kind Regards

I should clarify that I am not an administrator.  Both accounts work I just can switch between them.  I have to uninstall and reinstall Teams to switch between accounts. Based on a search there seem to be numerous folks experiencing the same issue. I do recall there was a dialogue box during my original account setup that has not reappeared.  Maybe I'll ask our IT admin to reset my account and see what happens.

    Hi

Sounds like you have not added the guest or have not turned on the guest access yet.
