Deleted Message Ping

Question

I'm not sure how to word this but I'm going to give my best trying to make sense

So my teacher set a task / assignment on teams and pinged all the student in the Teams, 

however my teacher realized it was the wrong task so my teacher decide to delete the message, 

The ping however is still there and there's no way to mark it as read and its being triggering me very much 

is there a way to mark it as read?

Thanks for your post in Microsoft community. Generally mark as read option is not available for deleted message ping. We do understand your requirement, so check at our end to find some workaround and find that we can temporary remove such message “this message has been deleted” by click on “cancel (X)” it will disappear for the moment but again if we open such activity feed, it will appear again. So you can use cancel option for temporary basis.

We set that forum to collect your votes using feedback for Teams, and the development team will check your suggestion there and may consider to develop it.
