Process Explorer (Filter Processes...)

what exactly does Find --> Filter Processes do? i click on the menu item expecting to see some sort of dialog box where i can include/exclude processes that are displayed.

i get nothing happening?

anybody have this working?

Hi @gwa ,

When you click on Find -> Filter Processes (Ctrl + F) you will be directed to the <Filter by name> box on the top-right corner (marked in red in the screenshot below), there you need to type which process you want to filter.

thanks for the quick reply.

not the most intuitive UI design IMHO. i always thought that the 3 dots after a menu item indicates that a dialog box would appear.

was sort of hoping that the filter would allow processes to be permanently excluded from the display (like in Process Monitor).
