Microsoft Shifts

I am using Shifts via Teams.  My employees sign up for open shifts that I have posted.  Several employees can sign up for one open shift.  When I update the schedule, but have yet to assign open shifts, all of the requests for open shifts disappear.  Is there a way around this?

    Hi Myerholtz,

So you can always reproduce the issue in any Teams client in your computer, right? If so, to check if it is related to certain factor in your computer, please try to login to Teams in other owner's computer, and view if the test outcome is the same.

If the request records still disappear, in order to further understand your actual situation and do further test, could you please capture a video for your operation and share with me in private message? Thanks for your cooperation.

    Regards,

    Betty

Other owners can approve/deny requests.  The issue came when I updated the schedule and shared it with the Team.  It erased all of the pending requests for open shifts.

    Hi Myerholtz,

In general, this kind of phenomenon won’t occur, may I know if you have tried in different Teams client or Teams Web App to check? Does the phenomenon always exist? In addition, you could also contact other owners(if there are) to check if they can view the requests and help you approve or deny them.

If issue persists, to check which members added related shift request, you could also contact admin to do audit log search for you. For detailed steps and information, please view below: (Note: If your organization doesn’t turn on audit log feature before, this feature cannot help you search the past shift record)

    1. Login to Security & Compliance Center.
    2. Click Search > Audit log search.
    3. Select “Microsoft Teams Shifts activities > Added shift request” in the Activities box.

    For your reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/search-the-audit-log-in-security-and-compliance?view=o365-worldwide#microsoft-teams-shifts-activities

If you still have concern, I’d like to confirm whether the issue could be reproduced, if you create another open shift, and after the members sent the request, if the requests will disappear again. And does this issue appear in another Shift?

    Kind Regards,

    Betty
